MM Award

Unique_in The Number 6 was a project to renovate The Number 6’s penthouse apartment. The Number 6 is the redevelopment of Palazzo Valperga Galleani, a prestigious baroque building in the centre of Turin.

Every design element was chosen to maximise light and airiness, which are often in short supply in penthouses. Vertical lines accentuate the high ceilings, while the lighting fixtures illuminate the room’s ample upper reaches with ease. The combination of wood and concrete is light in structure but big on personality. Everything has the space it needs to breathe. Cladding materials were left in their natural state, contrasting strikingly with the boldly coloured furnishings. The result is a space that is at once modern and glamorous.
