ITALIAN INTERIOR DESIGNER AND ART DIRECTOR
Giorgia Mirabella
Artistic vision, technical precision
As a child, creativity came so naturally to me that I never questioned what I would do when I grew up. And for the past twenty years, this innate spark has shaped my work as an interior designer and art director for brand spaces, private residences and events in Italy and abroad. I work with brands and individuals, helping them imbue their spaces with an authentic, eclectic Italian sensibility. As such, my work defies labels. But I like to say I practice l’arte degli interni: the art of interior spaces.
You could say bringing my clients’ visions to life is in my blood. I grew up in a family where art was valued just as highly as technical mastery. And this attitude has always guided my choice of studies: I have trained professionally across a broad spectrum of applied arts practices, from dance and painting to drawing and set design. Studies and internships in Turin and New York gave me a unique set of tools to draw on as I take each project from concept to completion. And the learning never ends.
My eclectic style and countless passions, which span photography, music, costume design and live performance, allow me to bring balance and form to a variety of diverse settings, from brand shoots and installations to set design and luxury private interiors.
The secret home
The Secret Home is my boutique interior design studio in Turin, northern Italy. It is a hub of ideas, an atelier where my clients’ visions take shape. A space where my tireless obsession with balance informs every decision.
Although I am based in Turin, I also work with clients across Italy, France, Europe, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. To support my work, I orchestrate teams of local experts on location.
Yes, The Secret Home gives my clients the key to real doors. But it also gives them the key to their unspoken visions, the ideas they struggle to articulate. Every project is an inner journey, the destination a world just waiting to be revealed.
The Secret Home is also a meeting place where I host interior design events. It’s where people come together to connect and share, and where I show the world what my philosophy means in practice.
PHILOSOPHY
Eclecticism that seeps into the souls of all who inhabit the space. Authenticity, expressed through heritage artisanship and materials such as natural stone, wood, metals and textiles. Thoughtful curation of treasures and marvels, uncovered with patience. Bespoke details that make each project one of a kind, handcrafted like a finely tailored suit. This is what I stand for.
Each value is underpinned by balance. Balance is no mere detail. It’s the heart and soul of my work. You can’t rush it. Every single choice is considered, every element has a role. And my job isn’t done until the space is naturally and (im)perfectly balanced.
We show the world who we really are through our creations: art and beauty are my response. Crafted artisanship, natural materials and a respect for tradition are how I express it.
